Goodwill Industries International Selects Alertsite for Web Site Monitoring
AlertSite Offers its Services Gratis for Community Service Organization
Boca Raton, FL - (October 1, 2001) - AlertSite, the premiere Internet performance monitoring service used to detect possible hackers, disruption of service and slow response time today announced that Goodwill Industries International, Inc. (Goodwill) has selected AlertSite as its Internet monitoring service. AlertSite will monitor two sites for Goodwill: http://www.goodwill.org, the organization's public web site; as well as its private site for member Goodwill agencies. Other AlertSite subscribers include distinguished international organizations such as Honda, Purina Mills, Cracker Barrel, Blue Martini and Osh Kosh B'Gosh.
Founded in 1998, AlertSite is an innovative service that monitors web sites around-the-clock. The service allows customers (subscribers) to improve their quality of web-based service, thereby fostering competitiveness and customer satisfaction. In today's spirit of community service, AlertSite is waiving the monthly service fees for Goodwill as a recognition of the education, job training and career services the organization provides to people who are unemployed.
"AlertSite allows Goodwill to proactively monitor its site ensuring those needing services and those volunteering time and contributions have around-the-clock accessibility to the site. Because we monitor from servers around the world, we can offer Goodwill a global perspective for all 215 International member organizations," said Ken Gross, president of AlertSite.
"Because of AlertSite, my web administration responsibilities are far easier to manage. I can have AlertSite call me on my cell, beep me on my pager, or reach me via e-mail," says Robert Epstein, manager of web development at Goodwill Industries International, Inc. "I have also been able to create an escalating notification sequence for my staff."
